The weekend in a video clip

All setup and ready to go!

I showed up ready to go and start my season. The weather was gorgeous, I felt fit, which was better than last season. But unfortunately the universe had other plans.

While the bike seemed fine in practice, the run times were short. In part because practice isn’t long, but also because we had the usual first round operating jitters. It turns out, if the races were 4 laps or less, I would have finished. Unfortunately for me, they aren’t that short.

My cooling system would spend both races I gridded up for getting increasingly warm until around Lap 5 when it would begin to eject coolant to the overflow, and eventually the belly pan.

I wish I had finished a race, but sometimes that’s how it goes. The bike is apart. Parts are en route, and I’ll be ready for next round.
